As I sit here on American Airlines Flight # —- on my way to Nashville, Tennessee, I can’t help but be astounded by how many opportunities to invent present themselves to me every minute, no matter what I’m doing and where I am.
I am about to launch my new website, Awakening the Entrepreneur.com (you’re reading this blog on it even as we speak), and with it the new and abundant array of entrepreneurial services that make up my world, which my vivid, at times hyperbolic imagination and the actions it has fostered have invented from scratch over the past two years. All of this speaks to me of the abundance of now, the unrestricted infinite array of options that appear to me at all times of day and night, as if out of nowhere, to stimulate my imagination toward the realization of ideas never thought of before.
As I sit here writing this blog to you, I know how impossible it is to communicate what it feels like to know, indisputably, that my life tomorrow will not look anything like my life looks like today…simply because my life tomorrow will find itself in relationship with new friends, new prospective partners, new opportunities that before tomorrow had never appeared to me before.
But, I also know that all of these new friends, new prospective partners, new untold opportunities, are already at this very moment, and even yesterday, or the day before, preparing themselves to come my way unbeknownst to me, and that I am in their mind’s eye, or about to be, in ways too mysterious for me to fathom.
I would suggest that this is true of you as well.
The problem is, I have discovered over the long, long years of my life, that very few people I meet live with the awareness that I am here sharing with you. And that, even if they do, they are discomfited by the plenitude, they are overwhelmed by the intrusion of new things in their day to day life, they feel, somehow, that these new things would be best left alone, that they will only as has most often occurred create unnecessary confusion in their life, and that there is not enough time in a day to deal with all of the new thoughts that are awakened by new things, let alone to deal with even the old thoughts that they have not yet retired to comfortable pragmatically productive answers.
That’s it, of course. New things create new questions. And new questions are just begging for answers. And, with so little time and energy and resources beyond those we’re confined by in our usually very limited life, who’s got the imagination needed to deal with all the newness, as it were, face to face, let alone the energy required?
The truth, unfortunately is, however, that the each and every moment in which the flow of life appears and then disappears (which I am calling for want of a better word, “Now”) is, when we are conscious of it, and even when we’re not, a brim with, abundantly filled with, overflowing with, the infinite (meaning, with no end) array of options, visits, strangers, friends, opportunities, thoughts, ideas, possibilities, inventions, epiphanies, wonderment, awe, directions, endings, words, and whatever else you might put in this place of lists, and the only thing limited in all this is our ability, desire, willingness, energy, to deal with it, to take it all in, to see it for what it is, to allow our lives to rise to the impossibly diverse multiplicity of new and therefore rarely if ever to be realized number of possibilities which each and every second come unbidden our way.
The Secret? Who needs it? I can’t, you can’t, deal with what’s already ours, let alone what we think we want.
Like that Indian Sage who, bare-armed and bare-handed is said to be able to reach above him and pull out of thin air an abundance of pearls, rubies, watches, and things, all to the delight of his bewildered audiences, who ask, of course, like you and I would, how in the world does he do that?
Well, I think I know the answer.
I’ve been doing the very same thing for years with ideas.
And, so can you.
All you need to do is to let them come. Let them come. Let them come.
And then follow them where they lead you next.
It’s not a trick, after all. It’s simply the most delightful game in the world.
It’s all about Now and Abundance.
Come Dream With Me. I’ll teach how to do it too. And then you’ll find out the true Secret.
That you knew it all the time.
